Annabel & James: A Wedding at Notley Abbey
Notley Abbey, set in the rolling South English countryside of Buckinghamshire, was an ideal setting for Annabel and James's wedding. The venue, with its rich history and stunning medieval architecture dating back to the 12th and 13th centuries, provided a timeless backdrop for their special day.
The timing couldn’t have been better. Autumn was just beginning to make an appearance, with hints of warm tones creeping in, while the lush greenery of late summer still framed the gardens beautifully.
One of the standout details was Annabel’s veil. It was striking in its simplicity and elegance, catching the breeze in a way that felt almost effortless. Capturing the way it moved added a dynamic element to the photos, making the images feel alive and natural.
A personal favorite shot from the day is the one of Annabel and James at the foot of the tower. The vertical composition of the image highlights the height and character of the medieval architecture, naturally drawing the eye upwards. It’s a simple but powerful frame, perfectly blending the couple with the timeless charm of Notley Abbey.
